Tarot 78 — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Tarot 78 is a tarot reading app. You choose a topic, write a question, draw a card, and an AI writes an interpretation for that question. This policy explains what leaves your device when you do that, and what does not.

The app and this policy are the responsibility of KHY Partners Inc. (케이에이치와이파트너스 주식회사), a company registered in the Republic of Korea. You can reach us at customer_contact@khypartners.com.

1. What we do not collect

There are no accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, location, device identifiers or advertising ID. This version of the app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDK.

Nothing is stored on your device. There is no reading history and no local database. When you leave a reading, it is gone.

2. What is sent when you request a reading

FieldExample
TopicLOVE, CAREER, …
Your question, as you typed it“Will this relationship last?”
The drawn card and its orientation“The Star”, reversed
The card's standard meaning and keywordshope, renewal, faith
Languageko or en

That is the complete list. No identifier travels with the request, so readings cannot be linked to you or to one another.

The question box is free text and is sent exactly as written. Please leave out real names, contact details, health details and financial account details — a question in general terms reads just as well.

3. What we keep

Our server does not write request contents to any log or database. It receives the fields above, calls the AI, returns the interpretation, and keeps nothing.

About IP addresses. Any internet request carries the sender's IP address. Our server neither reads nor stores it. Our hosting provider records execution metadata — when the function ran, how long it took, whether it succeeded — which contains neither your question nor your IP.

4. Who processes it for us

ProviderWhat they doWhere
Amazon Web ServicesRuns the server that handles reading requestsRepublic of Korea (Seoul)
Anthropic PBCWrites the interpretationUnited States
Google PlayHandles paymentPer Google's terms

5. Where your request travels

Our server is in the Republic of Korea and the model that writes the reading runs in the United States, so unless you are in Korea a request crosses two borders.

StepWhereWhat happens
1. Your deviceWherever you areYou write a question and draw a card
2. Our serverRepublic of KoreaChecks the request, builds the prompt, stores nothing
3. AnthropicUnited StatesWrites the interpretation and returns it

Writing the interpretation is the service you asked for, and the model that writes it runs in the United States, so we treat the transfer as necessary to provide the reading you requested. It happens only when you press the button, only with what that one reading needs, and never on a schedule or in the background. For Anthropic's own practices see their privacy policy.

6. Payment

Each reading is a one-off in-app purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We never see your card number or billing address — only whether a purchase completed. Google's handling is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Permissions

These are every permission the installed app declares. None of them prompts you, and none gives access to your files, photos, camera, microphone, contacts or location.

PermissionWhy
INTERNETTo request the interpretation and process the purchase
VIBRATEHaptic feedback when the card turns over
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATELets the networking libraries see whether a connection is available
com.android.vending.BILLINGRequired by Google Play to offer the in-app purchase
…DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSIONAn internal Android permission added by the AndroidX libraries. It is private to this app and grants nothing to anyone else

8. Children

Tarot 78 is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Korea's PIPA, Brazil's LGPD, India's DPDP Act, California's CCPA/CPRA or similar laws — typically to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to its processing.

In practice there is nothing to exercise them against, and that is by design. There is no account, no identifier and no stored reading, on your device or on our server. No record tied to you is ever created, so none can be retrieved, corrected, exported or deleted. Uninstalling removes everything.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising or cross-context profiling.

Questions go to customer_contact@khypartners.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority; in Korea that is the Personal Information Protection Commission and the privacy call center on 118.

10. Entertainment only

Readings are generated by an AI for entertainment. They are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice, and should not be relied on for decisions of consequence.

11. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top is updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means accepting the updated policy.
